POWERLIFTING COACHING

I am the Head Coach at the British Powerlifting Affiliated club the Temple Powerlifting Club. If you'd like to learn more about the club then get in contact and I can give you more information. I have coached a diverse array of lifters from juniors to masters and the smallest weight classes to the biggest - I've trained many lifters from complete novices to international level. I provide technique-focused coaching for strength athletes and in barbell sports. I offer one-on-one coaching and hybrid (online and in-person) training as well as group training session. More details can be found here.


ONLINE POWERLIFTING COACHING

Although ideally everyone would receive in-person coaching, sometimes that’s not possible. For those people who are unable I can offer online coaching; both programming-only and comprehensive online coaching with video feedback.

My programs are designed to make sure you get the best out of your training. Focusing on helping you reach your goals by improving technique and correcting imbalances to build a strong foundation. I make sure that everything I include has a purpose and I'm happy to share that justification with anyone who asks. 

Online coaching is largely aimed towards those who are working towards competing in a powerlifting competition but can be tailored to those who have other strength or sports-related goals. Online coaching offers more support, we are working together towards a specific goal. Whether that be a competition, event, or personal goal. As well as your personalised plan you will have a weekly check-in, video analysis, competition preparation, attempt selection & warm-up protocol. Whatever is needed to make sure that you maximise your performance on the day, and where possible I’ll make the effort to be contactable or attend (local) competitions.

COMPETITION COACHING

If you are looking to compete I will be there with you every step of the way. I make every effort to support all my clients through competitions whether at home or abroad. Attempt selection, tactics, and anything else you need on the day so you don't have to worry about a thing. In preparation for your competition. Your program will ensure that you peak at the right time so that performance on the day is the best that it can be. If you have never competed before then I can run through a mock-meet with you so you know exactly what to expect on the day and have no surprises.


MOVEMENT AND MOBILITY

As a coach I don't just focus on improving your numbers. Longevity is key so I make sure that all my clients are mobile and strong through every movement pattern and range of motion that they may encounter. I utilise the tools of self-myofascial release, dynamic and static stretching, and flossing in making sure that you are able to look after your body, keeping you injury-free, and in top shape so that you can perform at your best when it matters.

WARM WEATHER TRAINING CAMPS

In April of 2017 I held an intensive week-long training camp in La Manga Club Sports Resort - the destination for international training camps for many national teams. COACHING MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The growth of powerlifting as a sport is important to me. It is for this reason that I offer a coaching mentorship program. With the knowledge I have gained over several years of coaching I've had several mentees. GROUP TRAINING SESSIONS

In addition to my one-to-one sessions I offer small group training. Small group training is great for those on a budget who would still like some individual attention. Training in a group is also brings with it an extra push - the group support and motivate each other. I can work with groups of friends and also place individuals into groups.
